KidKruger
and the cost of making-good the damage to park ground will be factored into the price of their Xmas trees.....? dbboy
That wasn't my point.Presumably the council will make good any damage, who pays for it - who knows? Try a FOI to the council to see the contract held between them and TM. That will disclose if they are required to pay for damage to the green or if the nomark who wrote the contract included such a clause or not. You'll also learn how much the council reaped from "renting" out the green to TM for a few weeks. worldwiser
I can tell you now what an FOI response will give you: can't disclose due to commercial sensitivity. AnotherPaul
Considering how underfunded the council is now and will be in the future there will only be more of this kind of thing. If you voted Tory this misuse of parks is your fault. kiera
I'm sure you'll find that the money raised by the council is only going to be used by the Events Team to fund more events - it's self perpetuating. dbboy
wtf has this got to do with how people voted? Now just remind me which Labour leader suffered the worst election defeat result since the 1930's for his Party, oh wasn't that a certain J.Corbyn, current score nil and 4. AnotherPaul
There's a connection between underfunded councils and using council open spaces for commercial ventures, of which there are far more than there were 10 years ago. Ignore the relationship all you want, but we'll be back here in 6 months talking about another event on another park and how it's wrong. I politely decline to enter into some spat over the election result, I'm not a Labour election strategist so the loss is not really mine. But thanks for reminding me that you exist.
