Private Midwife care

Hi, I'm a local Mum, Midwife, and antenatal teacher and longstanding forumite. My partner and I are Independent midwives supporting women in our local communities who would like more time and continuity than the NHS has resources to offer.

We can do all the antenatal care that your NHS community midwife offers (plus some extra appointments), but our appointments are usually around an hour, in your home (or other place of your choice) and at a time to suit you. We can help you with your labour and birth plans antenatally, attend you in labour - whether at home or as extra support in hospital - and can visit you for up to 4 weeks after the birth (less if you prefer) to support your adjustment to life with baby. Our postnatal visits are usually for at least one to two hours. If you just want the post birth support and not the before/ labour stuff then we can offer that too. If you don't have family nearby, or in a position to be helpful, or just want some extra support then consider getting in touch for a free consultation with us. Our aim is to build a supportive relationship of trust with you throughout our time together, to help you transition with confidence through pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal weeks.

If you'd like to know more about us, or our work, please take a look at our website- www.yourneighbourhoodmidwives.com - Facebook page or instagram (a quick search for Your Neighbourhood Midwives should find us) or you can call us on 07776531173 for a chat.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Your Neighbourhood Midwife.

    • The Council allowed The Co op rear customer car parking area to be built on and as a result, the roads around, had customers parking in their road. and the Councils answer to that is CPZ in the whole area. the residents of Ashbourne grove do not want CPZ, as they feel its just another stealth tax, and that the money is going into street maintenance, for which we already pay exorbitant High Rates. another income for life for the Council and will increase year on year like the garden waste bins and cycle bins.
    • How mean-minded to call the creative project of a group of enterprising youngsters, using their time productively 'foul'?  Surely taking the initiative to set this u,p so young people can be outside and exercising is a positive and productive thing to be admired? 'Underage drinking and drugs' are more likely to happen when young people have nowhere to go and nothing to do (plus they can take place anywhere!) . How is a derelict pub better?
    • Please dont redevelop....the skatepark is a  rare place where young kids can chat, connect, and do something outside of the addictive but dull world of the internet. Community is one of our most precious parts of life.
