Very happy to recommend Paul of Knight & Sons!

I had a fitted kitchen installed recently, and he removed all the pieces of the old one. Not an especially easy job, as all the MDF had been sitting in my back garden and was getting waterlogged and crumbly. Plus the narrow access through my house added an extra burden! On top of all that his van had broken down, but he still came through with a vehicle and his mate Steve.

Between them they completed the job in less than one hour, and even swept up the MDF debris off the street when they'd finished.

I would add that he replied instantly to my initial call, gave me a fair quote based on a couple of photos, and fixed a collection date within two days. No nonsense. Try getting a response like that from your local Council waste management team!

Another recommendation for Knight & Sons. I've just had Paul and his young assistant come round this morning to help get rid of my old furniture before my house move. They were really quick and efficient and even broke down my old sofa and wall unit so they could fit it down the narrow stairs through to the front door of my first floor flat. Will definitely use this company again in the future if needed.

Paul now has a youtube channel so if you want to see his work you can check it out here:

    • Hi, does anyone know if the 2 x water slides are operable at Wavelengths in Deptford? In particular on Sunday swim sessions. thanks!
    • We didn’t have to contact the council. they took our tree out of our garden and put it in the road themselves for collection.
    • Hopefully their customer service has improved then, as I've had several bad experiences over the years (despite their good reputation!) including fairly recently with a fridge freezer, which after two visits in person to Oxford Street I ended up buying from AO. Their TrustPilot ratings are interesting (I just looked them up).  I know many  people tend to only post when they've received poor service, but even so .... 27% one star ratings is not good.
    • Many people have artificial trees, some people have real trees in pots which they keep from year to year, and some people don't have a tree at all, so the fact that there are fewer trees on the streets than houses doesn't necessarily mean that "the majority of people dispose of theirs responsibly"! Does the council not publicise their requirements anywhere other than on  their website? I never  have a cut tree, but if I did have, I would assume that the council collected them, particularly seeing other trees on the pavement. So I don't think it's necessarily the case that people are being selfish or unneighbourly, though as with anything, some might be. They just may not know that if they don't have a brown garden waste bin, they have to contact the council to arrange collection.
