PeckhamRose
Nunheadites sounds like a nasty cranial disease. As there are a few Southwark council care homes in Nunhead and as men on average die sooner than men, does this have anything to do with it? Michael Palaeologus
Nunheads is mostly a cemetary. There must be a causal link. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24111-worst-male-mortality-in-london/#findComment-555310 Share on other sites
Annette Curtain
I read it as "Male Morality"Which skews the subject somewhat, as I feel Camberwell or Peckham beats Nonhead, hands downNette:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24111-worst-male-mortality-in-london/#findComment-555336 Share on other sites

Undisputedtruth
I'd imagine that the male mortality rate in Nunhead is related to the lack of health provisions in the area. The Pioneer Health centre on St Marys Road was closed back in the eighties. Jeremy
Surely there's a strong correlation with poverty. Even though the poorest areas are concentrated in East London, Peckham and Nunhead are still on average fairly poor areas.
