glitzydebs
Hello, I've been wheel clamped whilst visiting my boyfriends flat in a private block, the permit slipped off the dashboard. He is a freeholder of the block and I was obviously not trespassing. The management company and clampers are no help they want ?250 rising by ?35 a day. I thought they were illegal. Any ideas please? Peckhamgatecrasher
I think Moneysavingexpert.co.uk has a thread on this. If it's a private contractor you can offer something like ?10 for administrative fee and tell them to sod the rest. (only legal speak). char1i3
If you still have the clamp on, just call the police. The police will tell them to remove it. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24043-wheel-clamping/#findComment-554457 Share on other sites
nashoi
Clamping is not illegal as long as they are licensed and there are clear signs up. The police will back up the clampers in this situation.Clamping on private land - Citizens Advice Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24043-wheel-clamping/#findComment-554466 Share on other sites
