Rolo Tomasi
Great news, thought I was the only one. So I now have 3 people to look out for/stalk (delete as applicable)! Though that said, it'll probably be easier to go to the CPT and say hi;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2395-bluetooth-on-mobliespdas/#findComment-70356 Share on other sites
Ant
Mine's still just K880i. How dull. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2395-bluetooth-on-mobliespdas/#findComment-70360 Share on other sites
SeanMacGabhann
I often wonder who leaves their phone as just the phone name? Assuming you want to use bluetooth at all you are going to need some kind of individual name and judging by the amount of k880is and N73s I see knocking around....Rolo - it would make more sense for some of use to seek you out that way, but I believe yourecognise half of us from photos so just say hiActually - if you did find a forumite this way - what would you actully do? Send a message saying "erm... Sean.. this is ZX8phone ... fancy a pint?" SeanMacGabhann
modern mobiles tend to have Bluetooth technology which basically identifies your phone to other Bluteooth users (anyone else with a mobile basically)You can choose what name to broadcast as - so if you are sat in a busy pub and want to see if a mate has arrived you could just check your mobile and list bluetooth devices in the roomYou can switch it off if it worries you obviously Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2395-bluetooth-on-mobliespdas/#findComment-70436 Share on other sites
Ant
I hardly ever use the bluetooth, which would be why I'm still K800i. I just sync calendar and contacts with my laptop now and then. Asset
do you think it uses up the battery more quickly if you leave it on? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2395-bluetooth-on-mobliespdas/#findComment-70569 Share on other sites
PeckhamRose
I must get round to getting Bluetooth. Means I won't have to get up and leave my beer to find out if my mate's turned up. Drink-spiking possibilities aside - I just don't wanna leave my beer!
