Once again the festival has lined up a list of high calibre events in locations in and around SE26, including a Visual Arts Trail, featuring over 100 artists.

Highlights include Arts in the Park/Family Fun Day on Sunday 1 July, headlined by singer songwriter Randolph Matthews, who draws on soul greats and Neo African rhythms to create surprising and original work. There will also be free arts activities and animation workshops, theatre and puppetry, as well as a funfair and food stalls offering food from around the world.

The festival also features Sydenham-based alternative folk singer Charlene Soraia, who hit the No.1 spot on the i-Tunes chart with ?Wherever You Will Go? (also used on the Twinings Tea advert) an open-air production of The Jungle Book (3-8 July), a ?Battle of the Bards? playwriting competition and Word Explosion, a family-friendly literary festival headlined by Liverpool poet Roger McGough.

Along with dance, poetry and playwriting workshops, music events from classical to jazz and more, discovering the arts on your doorstep could never have been easier.
