DulwichMassive
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me. My car was parked on Melbourne Grove and I was unaware of the road works that were about to take place. I've just gone to use my car and it is no longer there and there are no other cars there either. I rang the number to trace the car and they cannot track it down and then I was told to ring the police and they also have no record of it either.I was just wondering if anyone else has had their car moved and if so do they know where it has been moved too. Or if anyone can help or has knowledge of what might have happened. Any help would be hugely appreciated as the police are now classing this as a stolen vehicle. Thanks so much.Sarah Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/239126-car-been-movedstolen-found/ Share on other sites

rch
It might be useful to have a little walk around. Sometimes they don't actually tow away cars blocking roadwork areas, but they'll move them to another empty parking space nearby. DulwichMassive
Hey so little update, I've looked around most of the roads in Dulwich and no luck unfortunately. I've called many people to try and track it down and it seems my car is not on any records to show it's been moved or towed. However I was told it may have been missed off the list, meaning it could have been moved and not logged. If anyone see's this car please give me a call, I would be so so grateful, as I'm meant to be travelling across the country next week. Please PM me if you have any info. Thanks so much Sarah Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/239126-car-been-movedstolen-found/#findComment-1375106 Share on other sites
Sue
Could your insurance company help to find it?What a pain it happening at a time when you can't contact the council. Do you know what company is actually carrying out the work?ETA: I understand why you have done it, but you might not want to put your mobile number on a public website. Maybe better ask people to PM you? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/239126-car-been-movedstolen-found/#findComment-1375123 Share on other sites

DulwichMassive
Hi everyone, the car has been found! Thanks to everyone for their help and support trying to find it.I received a text from someone this morning saying they had seen it on Pellatt Road and I have just collected it. Thank you very much to this person. Also just an FYI to anyone else this might happen to, the car was moved because of the road works but not logged on the system by the council or the company Conway that moved it, so if a similar scenario happens to anyone else, it may just be a case of searching the streets for your car.Thank you again everyone! Very very happy now! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/239126-car-been-movedstolen-found/#findComment-1375262 Share on other sites
KidKruger
Glad you found it !I?m incredulous that someone?s car can just be moved with no indication of where and the hassles that could cause. Can?t either Southwark or Conway confirm which agency / company was responsible for car removals ?If they can?t, then they?re not in control and this will happen again ! first mate
There must be some kind of process that governs removal of cars for the purpose of 'vital' roadworks, one wonders if in this case that process has been breached? This is something our local councillor should defintitely investigate and get an explanation. jhony smith
I plan on going to a private university in California, which means that there is no in-state/out-of-state tuition difference. Though I currently live in Virginia, I plan on living in California after I graduate college. Would it be OK/a good idea to change residency when I got the best website. If are wondering to ask me about the idea I got then, feel free and ask me anytime. Thanks!
