Paying up front for a hygienist?

Recommended Posts

I phoned the dentist on NorthCross Rd to make an appointment for a hygienist and was told I had to pay up front -- the whole thing. I've been going there for over 10 years, never missed an appointment. Does anyone else find this ridiculous? Is there anywhere I can go without paying up front?

I would understand that if it was a deposit, but not the whole amount.

Or for new customers, or if there was a no-show at one point, but for long-standing customers?

Also, they could take your card details, and say you have until 48 hours before to cancel or postpone: but not charge you until after the appointment. They can easily fill these slots.
