Congrats Dulwich Fox! You've now managed 8 posts in this thread, all of which have rained on the OP's parade - even in the face of all the positive messages this thread contains.

I think a small cinema could be a go-er. I rarely go to the big chain cinemas these days, unless the small nicer ones aren't showing what I want. My current favourite is http://www.aubincinema.com/. It's only one screen, but is very comfortable, shows good films and not much more expensive than your average Vue/Odeon. Of course, there is a difference between being in Shoreditch and being in ED so maybe it wouldn't be viable here, but it would be great if it was thoroughly investigated by a potential investor.

Well Then.. why don't all the people who think it will be a good idea / investment..

put there money where their mouth is and make it happen...better than leaving it in the Bank...

After all you will be raking it in in a few months...

What has anyone got to lose. ???

There you are Positve comment...Go for it..

That was for a Silent Movie..

Certainly Are.

Don't benchmark this plan against Peckham.

The price is only 50% lower there, as that is all of the film you will see & hear, above the mobile phone conversations & text notifications & the ensuing abuse when the above are politely challenged.

The place is a dump.

Set your sights against Brixton & Greenwich, nice welcome, bar, snacks, good choice of films, mainstream & Indie in a very pleasant viewing environment!

The Odeon East Dulwich, became 'The Palace of Peace', the headquarters for a range of 'divine' businesses,

including a haulage business, punningly called GM Motors.

Maharaj Ji moved on to America, on a ticket paid for by the writer Alan Watts, establishing residences in Denver and Los Angeles. In 1973 he rented the Houston Astrodome, for 'Millennium '73', describing it as 'the most significant and holy event in the history of mankind'.

While a rock band played on stage, the electronic scoreboard flashed 'G O D', 'Enjoy! Enjoy!' and 'Sugar Is Sweet, So Are You, Guru Maharaj Ji'.

True Divinity.....????

Do not think so. Call me cynical ??
