Atticus
We have a two year old and a mum who will be 7 months pregnant when we want to go away for a week at the end of September. We'd, ideally like somewhere warm at that time of year, any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks. Indiana
We are about to go to Kalkan in Turkey on Saturday for 2 weeks with a 2 year old and a 5 month bump - flying to Dalaman and staying in a villa with a pool near the village/port with lots of restaurants. I can let you know the verdict when we get back! It would certainly still be warm in Sept - the only issue you may have is flying that late on but I guess you just get the doctors certification?I have been recommended Kalkan by alot of friends - though accommodation is predominantly private villas (i.e not big resort hotels) which suits us at the moment (esp as at 2 she is too young for kids club etc..) Convex
We went to Phuket when I was 6 1/2 months pregnant last september. I chose it partly because of the excellent medical care there, just in case. You need to be used to flying though! It's about 10 hours! pommie
you could try pefkos in rhodes. we have been there a few times and the last time i went i was 5 months pregnant. The best place to stay is pefki islands resort. It is very clean, has two pools and also a further pool in the resort literally a stones throw away (which you can use). The staff are really lovely and friendly and its about a 5-10 minute walk from all the restaurants/bars (but not close enough where you can hear the music etc). JessM
Center Parcs is great, provided your 2-year-old isn't terrified of swimming! We have been several times in the past few years, our kids are now 8mths, 2y10moths and 4y9mths. We usually book at least one creche session for the kids and go to the spa ourselves, and there are loads of other sessions you can go to with the kids like painting and stuff, you have to pay for them though. There are a few of the sporty things suitable for little ones too, like balance bike riding, swimming lessons. Plus you can take it in turns to look after the kids while one of you pops off to the gym or whatever. It's self catering but there are loads of cafes and restaurants that are all really family friendly with play areas, crayons etc. You can also book a babysitter if you want to go out in the eve or there is a takeaway place too.Weather not guaranteed though!Have fun wherever you go! Kes
we went to center parcs when little one was one and going back this year with her almost 3 and me with a bump. Really liked it, very easy, we're just going for a mid-week break tho, think I might find a whole week a bit much as i can't join in the more exciting activities?K Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23740-where-to-go-on-holiday/#findComment-549297 Share on other sites
busymum
try Lanzarote Retreats maybe, we are going to one of their villa's in July this year, but they also do yurts which look brilliant, some friends went last year and had a great time. In September it could even be too hot though. I haven't been to lanzarote myself but it is supposed to be very beautiful indeed, if you stay away from the very touristy areas, this company only has places in the nice bitshttp://www.lanzaroteretreats.com/eco/eco-yurt/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23740-where-to-go-on-holiday/#findComment-550350 Share on other sites
