Wheelchair repair

Recommended Posts

The tyre on the small front wheels of our wheelchair have split so we cannot use. Have been trying to find someone/firm to repair this. Most of the mobility shops seem to sell scooters rather than chairs. It is a non NHS chair, old but in otherwise reasonable condition. It is an 'emergency use' chair and has been used by family members with reduced outdoor mobility. It also folds up well to put into boot of car.

At the worse possible scenario will have to purchase a new one but will have to try out to ensure it fits in boot.

Have found one place in Hertfordshire who do repairs but they require over ?70 just to visit without labour and parts charges.

Have borrowed a wheelchair for a few days but it is not 'car friendly'.
