Private party location...

I?m looking for a place where 40 friends can celebrate a 30th birthday long into the night.

To give an idea; Anderson & Co on Bellenden was suggested which looks like a good start...

Does anybody here have any other suggestions? Ideally it would be a closed off section / whole venue but without a huge hire fee and close to Transport links/late bars.

I asked in what was ToastEd now Terroir as they have a nice large party space in one half. The fee is ?1,000 minimum spend for the whole space for an evening. It might be negotiable. I know the Half Moon has a lovely room in their back garden too. Good luck.
Celebrated by boyfriend's birthday at the Barn in the Herne Tavern last weekend. Staff were excellent, you get a whole decking space reserved, and you can order food etc. ?500 minimum spend for a Sat but easily covered by guests. Had to be out of the barn by 11pm and the pub by midnight though.

    • What an unpleasant thread this is.Β  I have no reason to think any of the barbers in the area are in any way dodgy, and I can vouch for Dulwich Barbers (134 Lordship Lane) as being both excellent and frequently busy.

    • I think it is less easy/ more expensive to fence off the Common, as opposed to the nicer parts, which is why our nicer parts are hawked off to Gala. Why should we have access to nicer parts of our park in summer when we might most like to have access if it can be monetised. It's ironic really that this council is so Trumpy.Β
