I had thought or at least hoped there was some kind of control over noise at that level? I had also thought you could get low noise fireworks these days? If the school, would they need council permission for something like this? It just feels incredibly ill judged.

Exactly this! It was the stupid o?clock that irked me.

So me and my girlfriend were having a romantic quiet night in watching lethal weapon 2 when the gunfire of the high octagon shoot out scene was interrupted but loud noises. To our surprise there was a larger fireworks display happening in what we can assume was the private school down the road. The noise was so loud we it drowned out the gunfire in our shoot out scene. How upsetting.


Actually it was pretty impressive we have no animals and a great vantage point. Quite an enjoyable display.


Feel for you guys with pets - not nice to have them freak out! Guess a bit of warning would have been nice!
