Just had this message from London Buses:

"I am writing to let you know that from 0800 on Sunday 20 May until the evening of Friday 1 June, Bellenden Road will be closed due to further water mains replacement works being carried out on behalf of Thames Water.

Route P13 will be diverted in both directions via East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye and Rye Lane and will be unable to serve Pytchley Road, Avondale Rise, Bellenden Road, Chadwick Road and Blenheim Grove.

The route will continue to serve East Dulwich Station and East Dulwich Sainsbury?s.

Buses will serve all stops on diversion if requested to do so."

Lane rental starts 11 June. This is where utilities have to rent lanes they close. This will encourage utilities to be quicker and more innovative.

My hunch is that during the summer more works will take place away from main roads that have an embargo due to the Olympics.
