Maurice Hinds- plumber

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to recommend Maurice-he fixed a leaking overflow which had been a problem for quite a while. I phoned him up and he came over to quote and was able to buy the necessary part and solve the problem within the day. I have left it a while to comment, just to be sure that the overflow did not start dripping again, but all is dry.

Just in case the other thread is ignored due to the 'fake recommendations' title, I'd like to recommend lovely Maurice. Maurice has just rescued our flat from a collapsed radiator leaking into our cellar by coming round on a Bank Holiday within 45mins of us calling, he is courteous, well priced and very nice to boot! As our first plumber call-out since moving to the area we were a bit worried not to have a personal recommendation (espcially on a a Bank Hol Sunday morning) but Maurice was brilliant and we are keeping his number close to hand!!

I cannot recommend Maurice Hinds at all. I fell for the false recommendations and he caused a leak of several thousands of pounds damage after a small plumbing job. Then he said he had no insurance and did not answer my emails. My worst plumbing experience ever. Stay away from him!

Shesha 108. I have contacted you through pm numerous amount of times regarding this accusation??? I have no idea what you are on about. Not only do i have no clue who you are but also i was never contacted by anyone to say they were unhappy with my work let alone any damage caused or asking me if I had insurance, could you please tell me address of this supposed job, date etc and also how exactly did you then contact me when "problem was not corrected" and exactly what I said I would do to correct it. Very confused and upset by this as you are claiming something which is untrue and I have not a clue who you are let alone any job and you are not responding to my messages and have made me out on EDF to be a disgraceful plumber. Unless you prove this incident I want this post removed asap or I will do you for slander. Surely you have paperwork that could prove thousands of pounds worth of damage had to be corrected?? My wife only noticed this post a month ago and I have been trying to contact you since using my wifes username as I do not have my own. Please could you contact me asap so we could sort this out as I have no idea why you have made these FALSE claims. If by any chance a job did go wrong that I had carried out I would be round like a flash correcting it not leaving thousands of pounds worth of damage???. I want this cleared up asap. Maurice hinds.

    • Thank you. Yes we scanned him last time, he is neutered & chipped. We asked neighbours who were feeding him to keep him in as, owner said she wasn't back till following day. That night whilst he was kept in, Gladys came back. The owner lives on a street who's garden  backs onto my friends garden. We asked neighbour that kept him in for night, to not feed him anymore. The owner said not long after she got him, he went out January, never went back till December! I did say so you don't want the cat, she said yes she does but she can't lock him in. I suggested she leaflet all houses who's back gardens back onto hers, to say to stop feeding him. She didn't do it. So until people stop feeding him, he will be a problem as he obviously doesn't want to go home and all the time she never saw him, there was no posters up looking for him, so it's one of those situations! He is a beautiful fluffy black and white and is enormous. Don't know what the solution would be if owner not bothered. Celia hammond overflowing, even kitten season was early this year. Can't take a owned cat though I'm sure he isn't happy. I'm hoping Gladys and Doris will go back home if he isn't loitering. Yes their owner does spray him with water but has little impact. It is a real problem and a worry that they are too frightened to go home and may travel further away. That is the real worry. Will keep post updated.
    • Hi, I’m looking for a small garden table and 2 chairs used but in good condition, ideally one you’d like to get rid of 😊 Chairs need to be sturdy so that she can sit on these safely!  Thanks in advance for her!
    • Is what true? That the student units part of this development that hasn't yet been built is going to fall vacant because there's such a collapse in the number of students in London that they can't rent the units out, and then the Labour government is going to appropriate them to house them asylum seekers? Is that what you're asking is true?
