I do live locally but this fundraising event for Wateraid will be on the Southbank.

It's a twist on the traditional speed dating format and details can be found at:

The New Statesman endorses Wateraid, thus adding (a little) gravitas to this quite frivolous of fundraisers.

How about the 28 - 42 year old singles amongst us help Wateraid in other ways?

Nearly two months late for World Water Day but some jaw dropping snippets on this UN site might motivate any reluctant donors/ single folks amongst you and your friends.

Only three more days to the Friend of a Friend Singles Party for Wateraid...

Wateraid T-shirt? Check.

Name tags and fat pen? Check.

Certainty about the names of people attending the Friend of a Friend Singles Party for Wateraid in the BFI Southbank Bar at 8pm tonight? Check......sort of.

It's not too late to join in the charitable action you know.

    • Well, well, well! Pretty disappointing and tacky. I have some sympathy for Tesla owners but although he has shown his colours now, Elon was always a tosser.  I have always been sad and frustrated by Belair House, and I wish someone could get a grip and market it successfully as a good redto and bar. As the earlier comment said it is a beautiful building in a great location, albeit a bit shabby here and there. Over the years we have eaten and had drinks there but the last time was about 5 years ago and we haven't been back since after a cockroach crawled up my arm as I waited at the bar for my pint...
    • If anyone has a spare ticket for tomorrow's gig please ler me know! Please text me on 07719804123. Thank you! 😊
    • No they were created by a Hong Kong artist and became a craze when a K-Pop girl band became associated with them. They do limited editions and they've become a collectors item (Like Jelicat for adults)- I'm a bit ashamed that at 65 years old I know so much about them but they are very much a fashionable item. And I'm always interested in Popular Culture. Whover lost it must be gutted because I understand that when you buy one (they're boxed) you never know which one or what colour you'll get...so if the owner loved that one it may be very difficult to replace.
