Forest Hill Pool was closed in spring 06 due to concerns about the safety and integrity of the roof. To cut a long story short, the Council is considering options for refurbishment (after a prolonged campaign by residents to prevent them being closed for good).

The pulse at peckham is a good pool and is less choppy as the water is at floor level and gets no waves bouncing back from its shoreline. An hour or so after opening time it gets quietish.

Further away but I think I remember hearing that the one in Greenwich is fab - and pretty deserted at weekends

Deptford pool is nice, but is a leisure type pool.

Mike P - I thought ED baths was allocated ?5 million of the ?12m total money for all Southwark leisure centres, not ?2m.

Have they changed it?

No - It was a guess.

"They have been allocated alot of money" is perhaps a more accurate reflection of my knowledge level.
