Over the past week or so we've had regular visits from a very loud black and white cat - we are on Ulverscroft Road and he/she seems to come from the gardens behind (Fellbrigg Road). Wouldn't normally be so concerned, but this cat seems particularly vocal - so wondering if it is lost/hungry. Not managed to get a photo before he/she runs away but will post one if we can!

    • I just tried to "like" a post  message saying I could not add any more reactions today. Is this a new rule, or have I just been more restrained over the last twenty years or thereabouts? 🤣
    • I have swum in it several times since it's reopened.  No problems.  The sand stuff is a bit off-putting but like all pools they'll have to test and log the water quality regularly so I think it's unlikely to be a health issue.  The water is clearer than a pool I use regularly near my work - also with no issues.
    • After looking through a few decorator recommendations on here and getting some quotes, I hired Kam to paint ceiling, walls, door, skirting etc in my hallway and bathroom. Really happy with the results and the experience with Kam. He is professional, friendly and polite: someone I was happy and comfortable to have in my home (I live on my own and this is not always the case) and implicitly trusted to be there when I was away. The price was reasonable, his communication was great and he was patient with some changes I wanted to make and willing to try painting tiled floors with a particular paint I found and worked meticulously to get a great finish with it and all aspects of the job.  He also went above and beyond to tidy up some painting jobs I'd done myself. Thoroughly recommend.   Kam: 07949507412 email: kamthompson1@yahoo.co.uk
