I have sold and brought through Haart and would recomend them or Winkworth. Bushells will value your home cheap to sell it. If I went with Bushells I would have lost a lot of money!

Not sure about Peddar. I think management has changed since I was going to use them. At the time Peddar wanted to market my large one bed as a two bed! Haart are very professional and realistic

Just my opinions though

Thanks

I bought my house via Haart and I think they did a good job..

They have someone who is only responsible for seeing things through from sale agreed to sold rather than leaving the chaser work in the hands of the original selling agent which means they are usually at their desk if you need to call e.g. to arrange surveys etc. They all seemed very helpful when I needed to get in touch.

We used KFH in December and our flat was sold (well agreed price within 5 days) - I guess they just had the perfect buyer. The whole process was managed very professionally by them, I think Alistair was the manager's name and he was very good.

We had similar from Bushells - said we'd never get anywhere near where we wanted to market it for. Offer was 98% of asking price! The lady there was also very rude when we told her we were going with someone else, her words were "well keep my number because I doubt they'll sell it for you" - not very professional!!

We bought through Wooster Stock in 2007 and they were good too but I think they have lost their way in East Dulwich.

I bought and sold through Spencer Kennedy. Very professional and a pleasure to deal with. They outshone the others who came round (KFH, Winkworth and Pedder).

KFH said the valuation was lower as buyers want proximity to Lordship Lane...... The house we were selling was a 2 min walk from Lordship Lane !?!?! The valuer admitted she was new to the area and had presumably driven from the other direction.

    • Anyone doing a renovation soon and want to get rid of an existing kitchen? I'd love to take a couple of units off your hands!
    • Honestly, sounds like the best thing to do
    • Thanks - going to drop the whole thing now…& put it down  to a bad experience.
    • No, you won’t get your rent back for not having an EPC. I presume you’re thinking of  rent repayment order… you’d have to have evidence of an offence such as illegal eviction, harassment, threat, unlicensed property. None of which you’ve indicated.  I don’t see what the problem is with your situation, certainly nothing substantial. If you have evidence of disrepair (including professional report) and you have to have evidence of informing the landlord as well; you’ve mentioned damp but said it’s not there any more?
