Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows more about the half finished garden behind the Sainsbury on LL?

We live very near and have been told today that the two small structures in the garden will be toilets.

Not very keen on public loos right where we eat and play!

Is this right? Anyone know more?

thanks in advance

Hi!

Yes I can help! One of the little buildings will be a potting shed for garden things and the other will be a toilet you're right. It is a provate block though so will only be used by the residents in the flats there, it's not going to be a public toilet don't worry!

Also the chances of any of the residents using it is slim as there are toilets inside the flats which begs the question why bother, but think it was just for ease if it was a lovely hot day and residents were having a bbq they could use the toilet there rather than go back inside flat.

Hope thats cleared it up..they certainly wont be smelly as they will be maintained and also the chances of it being finished any time soon are slim!

Firstly, yes you are correct that only one shed will be a toilet and the other a potting shed. But may I refer to your last comment in which you suggest the sheds will not be completed any time soon. Well, I am a little offended by that and would like to stand up for my landlord. You see we here have a fantastic landlord, not only is he polite, well mannored and quite dashing, he is also a man of his word. When ever we call with a request it is happily completed before we even call. Actually he is so on time and punctual that I would even put money down on him being born premature. So if he suggests the garden will be completed soon, I have no doubt it will be. Hurrah for landlords.

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
