Maybe look a little bit away from the Market, as ED is so nice it would be a shame to be disturbed. And I think prices go down a bit.

I love the Market, I love the area, I eat on the market every week and it tastes lush!

It adds something to the area, and I like to support it and the shops on the high street. If you dont buy, it wont last and people are just making a living doing something they enjoy - more of us should try that!!!

I posted a post when I moved here about places to go, asking for advice - see if you can find, it as it was a nice string of posts unlike some of this one :)

Welcome to ED.

Hog Roast Stall was inspected and was not there last week.

Related EDF Thread from A_M

So what is going on ?

You didnt answer the query. The query was regarding noise issues at night. You just chose to vent your spleen. If your opinion is that the 'hotdogs are pants', how did you arrive at that? Surely you didnt eat one, given your paranoia?

Hog roast stall back today and doing brisk business with LONG queue.

If a particular stall holder isn't present for a week or two it's probably because they're on holiday or ill.

Rash assumptions of something else isn't helpful.

North Cross Road is noisy on market days but this will reduce over time as we eventually get marked pitches.

Vehicle parking is a pain around there.

Oter than that most residents tell me it's a great part of ED to live in.

We recently moved around the corner from North Cross Road and it's a fab location - everything on your doorstep and parking not as much of a nightmare as first expected... Yes people clammer to park on a Saturday but there is the usual coming and going of a weekend so that is unavoidable most streets really. The market is great and the shops sell everything you could want and more :)

Ironic - Definition..

The words ironic, irony, and ironically are used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply "coincidental"

As in ' It was Ironic that after being pennyless all her life, she won the lottery and dropped dead the next day.'

Do not understand your use of Ironic. ???

As for Grumpy Old Git.

I speak my mind / Yes I'm Old /

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
