edanna
I've got the chaos book katgod mentioned and I haven't kept up with its recommendations, alas. But one tip I found very useful is to do a 15 min blitz in each room. I know this sounds a bit bonkers but I have actually used a kitchen timer - do as much as you can in 15 mins then move onto the next room for another 15 mins. It's amazing what you can do in that time if you really go for it. My house is still covered in stuff from top to bottom though. Verona
What can say Liz I was only today talking to my better half about that. As you know I also work from home. I am such a paper hoarder. When I visit other peoples home they are so colour coordinated and in order. At the beginning of Easter holiday I was in one of those had enough of the mess, so announced after breakfast that we were having a good tidy up day, to which my 6 year old son replies that's a rarity. Goodliz
Verona, I've been having one of those days today and managed to do the kids' room and the living room. Did the living room after bedtime so my name will be mud tomorrow as I've put all the lego away - oh dear, they are going to go mental. It will all be back out by midday. Yes, paperwork is a pain plus all the course manuals that I hoard. It is going to be our bedroom tomorrow plus a trip to the tip. Gonna feel so good afterwards though. Thanks for all the tips everyone. I've enjoyed reading this and realising that I am not alone. 15 mins per day per room sounds good. I feel good now that I have recliamed some surfaces today. If someone was to send me flowers I'd have somewhere to put them now!
