Well done Louise, I keep forgetting to revive this thread. Yes, 27th it is in Jaflong. Meet for beers at 7.30 ish (for those that wish to) and then on to Jaflong for 8.30.

I will book the table 24 hours before, when I have a better idea of numbers.

I think he was joking. At least I hope so!!!

Besides, I think this is an easy decision. If it wasn't Jaflong, it would be harder, but, the Naga at Jaflong wins hands down! Not even Utd vs Barcelona beats this.

    • I just wanted to drop a recommendation into the Forum for anyone looking for a tree surgeon. We have been using Hamish of A Cut Above Tree Management for years and he and his team are genuinely brilliant. Exceedingly polite, helpful and friendly, really knowledge about tree issues and super considerate and careful of bringing the debris through our terraced house. Highly recommended! https://cutabovetreemanagement.co.uk/about/
    • No surprises there then, based on other reports of councillor disengament.

    • I love the library and go regularly, but noticed recently the fiction shelves were getting depleted. When I asked the reason, I was told that the library was being refurbished (fine) and that there would be fewer books afterwards (to make room for other facilities I think) so they were starting to pare down their stock. This didn't make me happy! While I appreciate the wider role libraries play in the community, surely the  core purpose of a library is the books? The staff suggested I contact Southwark Council about my concerns. I emailed the relevant councillor but never got a reply.
