So far we have 5 confirmed (Foxy, Li5ecr, CharlieB, Hibbs, me) so if anybody else would like to come, could you confirm?

I have had a few PMs from new people and there was interest at the drinks last night.

Also - could anybody that wants to come post on this thread please?

Sorry to gatecrash your thread, but I just did a search on Tandoori Nights as I had a pretty poor meal there last night, and I was interested to see the comments above.

We hadn't been there for years, but we were starving. We had thought Dulwich Tandoori might have a Sunday buffet on as it was a bank holiday, but they didn't and appeared to be rammed, so we went to Tandoori Nights instead.

My meal was terrible. It was supposed to be lamb with spinach and green chillies. There was not a single chilli in it, and no heat in the dish at all. Nor did it appear to be spiced with anything else, as it was all completely bland. The spinach looked and tasted as if it had come out of a tin. The best I can say is that at least the meat was tender.

The pilau rice appeared to be spiced solely with cloves.

For the lamb and the rice I paid twelve pounds :(

The Cobra was six pounds (large bottle). Can't remember how much it usually is, but that seemed a lot.

When I put these points to them at the end of the meal (nobody came during the meal to ask how it was, although there was only one other group of customers in the restaurant) they really didn't have any reply.

How can you advertise a dish with chillies and then leave out the chillies? Bizarre.

ETA: I shan't eat there again. Shame. Once upon a time, the food was very good there.

Amazing. Booked up already. Seems like yesterday when mikey was thinking of calling it a day. Now you can't get in for love nor money. Well done leader.

Great evening with 9 of us enjoying a few drinks at the Montpelier and an excellent meal at Ganapati.

As we know, the food is somewhat different from your normal curry house and was very enjoyable for that.

Next CC meet on 3 October at the Dulwich Tandoori.

Meet at The Draft House at 7ish on to the restaurant for 8ish.

    • Hi, Looking for a bedframe with no head or footboard for a double mattress. Normal UK double. Ideally wood. If someone has one to sell or give away please get in touch, thank you!
    • Great answer, but how do you then square it up with pension pots investments without adversely impacting future growth.  Buit of a tricky one as on one hand it should be nationalised but on the other we don't want to see future pension poverty relying on government top ups.  Far too complicated for a simple answer
    • Driving down one of the side streets near the park last night we saw a group of kids in front holding a rope across the road. Did feel a little anxious and then when we got closer it turned out to be a harmless trick - nothing in the road/dangerous, just three kids on each side holding long twigs as if they were tugging a rope between them. i'm conflicted - quite a theatrical prank (I presume copied from online) but given the location could well have been the same group mentioned above.
    • I have no idea, but not so difficult for one of them to stand to the side and record. In an odd way at least if they were doing it for social media it might explain the motivation, albeit misguided. Others may disagree, but that feels less worrying than a desire to intimidate.   I think comparable games like "knock down ginger" where children run away and/or momentarily stick their tongue out as cheeky gesture, have a different vibe to what is described here.
