Thanks to all the fine persons what showed up. A nice meal was had by all, my Prawn on Puri starter was good but filling. Its description in the menu caused some debate - "Prawns in gravy on fried bread", doenst really do it justice.

Next meeting on Wednesday 28th September.

Ah yes, Mick Mac was doing the upright fatherly thing, playing with his youngest in the Goose Green Play Ground and I staggered sheepishly past carrying a bag full of beer. Such was my Sunday :) .

How about a 1 week postponement to next Wednesday? (5/10). Where would people like to go?

Wow!

I missed the drinks on Friday, and dropped over a stone in weight in 2-weeks, so this page is making me salivate....yum yum!

Probably can't do this Wednesday, but will keep an eye out for the next one.

What is the usual turn-out....?

McCabe.

    • Had this problem a few years back.  I can hear high-pitched sounds easily.  I can't find my original post, but it was likely a faulty boiler cycling on and off as they do. It stopped not long after I posted!  Quick search on here pulled up lots of posts about similar.  https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/search/?q=boiler noise&quick=1
    • Do you think this is an illegal eviction and that the documents are not in order? You can get advice from Citizen's Advice or Shelter as well.  There is also a lot of advice on line - i.e. what the documents need to include for the landlord to evict the tenant.
    • Hello all, I am urgently looking for a solicitor who works in housing. I'd like to help my neighbours who have been waiting for a council flat for seven years. The council has forced them to rent privately and now the agency has send the eviction letter without any explanation. When they arrived in the UK they stayed in a flat for three months until they got evicted because the landlord wanted to sell. So this is the second time in seven years they have to find something else. They are a couple with two children. If you have recommendations for a good solicitor I'd be very grateful. They are very worried and don't speak English well enough to defend themselves. Thanks for your help!
