Nero
The Drum is indeed a good place. Nice sarnies and good prices. But it is too smoky at times. batdog
There was a smear campaign against caffe nero in winter 2005-2006 on a national forum ( nothing wrong with that). No need to say that some of the hypocrites "smearing" cafe nero were sitting in there ( and still are) the day the door opened for the first time. Unfortunately I can't name and shame them in here.Blue Mountain Cafe NEVER knew how to do a good coffee and espresso ( they have been told several time since they opened ), but suddenly after cafe nero opened, their coffee is very much improved... Miracle on North Cross Rd or....Amazing what "competition" can do...!!! But I do not know of any places in SE22 that serves an espresso the "italian way" and if such a place exists, PLEASE let me know. There must be some Italians on this forum ?
