Hi all,

I have just noticed this thread is dedicated to the wonderful Wood Vale (I am also a resident - Woodlands Court, 91 Wood Vale) and just wanted to let it be known that I am a Nanny (CRB checked, First Aid trained with full clean driving licence and car)and babysitter!

I currently look after a 4 year old boy in East Dulwich, however I have some availability this week and wondered if my help may be needed with a child aged 2.5 years or up?

I am available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am-4.30pm. I charge ?10 per hour and a minimum of 4 hours is required. With the wonderful Hornimans Park on our doorstep, a nice day out could be had!

If this sounds of interest to anyone, please do send me a private message on here, or call or text me on 07981 854 435.

Many thanks,

Becky

----Edited to add: My evening babysitting rate is ?7 per hour :-)

Hi Sarah

I recently moved to wood vale and was searching for info on nearby nurseries and came across this thread.

Sounds like a lovely ideas. Was there any interest in a neighbourhood group or meet up? Be nice to join and meet some local people if so.

Thanks

Josie! (Mum of one, 15 months)

Hey, im also on woodvale and agree with getting Woodvale resurfaced. We have a lot of lorries who use Woodvale,as a thoroughfare, and lots of different building sites going on at the moment on the road.

Great road, which needs some TLC.

    • From the rip out to the installation and snagging, John was incredibly professional, considerate and professional with brilliant attention to detail. He is clearly very knowledgeable, and was able to offer suggestions and make tweaks with ease when my odd Victorian building threw us curveballs.  Gabi provides an incredible level of support and reassurance, replying promptly to all queries and concerns. As a team they are incredibly well organised, and both dates and costs are clear. John has a great relationship with Howdens, securing me a great discount on the kitchen, and sorting any issues that arose quickly and calmly. After dealing with a number of aggressive workmen who overcharged me and turned up as and when they wanted, John and his team were an absolute breath of fresh air; friendly, courteous, hardworking and reliable.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Top Marx to anyone looking to have a new kitchen installed, I truly could not be more thrilled with the results!

    • Hello lovely people, In need of some help please… My landlord has rented a property to me without an EPC.. my understanding is that is illegal. Have asked several times, in last three months and still not forthcoming. Have asked again plus now leaving at the end of the month & ignoring me totally - even to take meter readings & hand keys back!!! I really don’t want to go to court either but not sure as it is a private let whether I can go for mediation. Deposit was lodged via under govt scheme - 60 days later but at least lodged. No inventory on signing either so, not going to pay for anything either.. Could I bring in local councillor? For advice? Thanks and have a good weekend.
    • Has anyone else found it absolutely impossible to get an appointment at DMC on Crystal Palace Road since they implemented the new “link” system at 8am on a morning ? I was told by the receptionist that all appointments are taken within 15 minutes and it is not possible to book in advance anymore but … wait for it… they are still accepting new patients and there is a HUGE banner outside the surgery advertising this. How can this be allowed when they can’t service their existing patients ? I have left a complaint form but would any other DMC patients like to join forces and see if we can force them to make improvements ?
