Open Gardens in Forest Hill - Sunday 19th May

The 6 gardens opening for charity on Sunday 19th May, from 1 - 6 pm are: 7 Canonbie Road; 27 Horniman Drive; 53 Ringmore Rise; The Coach House, 3 The Hermitage; 25 Westwood Park; and Hilltop, 28 Horniman Drive. This is part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS). Combined Entry is ?8 (children go free). Donations go to St Christopher?s Hospice and Marsha Phoenix Trust. Also live music, home-made cakes, tea, and coffee and plant sales.

  Di anyone go there this morning? It was bitterly, bitterly cold. My hands were numb by the time I'd finished. The poor staff. When I remarked on it they asked me to complain to Head Office (which I've done) as they've been waiting since August for the problem to be sorted out It must have been well below any legal limits for temperature, if such regulations still exist. Why the staff didn't walk out, I don't know. Perhaps that would mean the end of their jobs.
