Potentially Dangerous Junction

I see that the junction of Upland Road and Peckham Rye, next to Harris Boys Academy has been permanently closed now. It is very difficult to turn right from the bottom of Barry Road onto Peckham Rye because of traffic cutting across to turn into Barry Road- any tips as to an alternative route onto Peckham Rye/Forest Hill Road without going up Lordship Lane?

From Barry Road, turn right onto Underhill Road and left on to Dunstans Road.

Depends how far up Forest Hill Rd you want to go. I like going all the way along Underhill Rd to Langton Rise and then left on to Woodvale because there are lights at the junction of Woodvale and Forest Hill Rd. Not the shortest or quickest route, but definitely the least stressful.

I wonder if it is permanent as I thought they might have to consult with people who live close by or at least post a notice of intent before doing it. Hope not as it makes ed far less accessible by motor vehicle for the 27ish households from Piermont Grn round to the school. My only hope is that they've put in the bollards temporarily because people were driving through anyway when it was meant to be closed off for the gas works.

Its nice to see people trying to get traffic going through other people's roads. Free Country. How about opening up Piermont Green to one way traffic it would be very handy.

E-dealer- it is very difficult to turn right from Barry Road onto Peckham Rye. There are now large posts blocking the road next to the Harris Academy. If they are metal they won't last 5 minutes.
