Dulwich sunset + weird clouds

Recommended Posts

I reckon - those MrPR would be more scientifically and meterologically correct about it - that it's a result of the sun so low in the sky it lights the 'lid' of clouds above us from below, but at such an angle that the light passes through all the muck in the air but coming out with the beautiful result.

I may be wrong.

Great pics steveo!

Looking out from my flat on the hill, I love seeing the cloud above the lights of the city - Broadgate building, Shard, Gherkin and soon to be coming the Building With More On Top, and they light the cloud above them whilst all else is dark.

Awestruck, seeing the sky last night, I wanted to scream out of the window that everybody should look!

Look at the sequence - it is almost like have the shadow of two tower blocks projected onto the sky, gently moving along. Sinister yet amazing!

Skies over ED can be both uplifting and armageddon-like, sometimes both at the same time, depending on what sort of a day I've had. I've looked out many times and marvelled before reaching for the camera.

How many pictures of the sky does a person need, though?

(lots, apparently......)

Not the same night, but here's one of mine from a few months ago.
