holloway
Just wondered if anyone has tried this and would recommend it. I was thinking of doing a free trial session in Peckham Rye. Jules-and-Boo
I would love to - I think there would have to be an entry level though....then I'd definitely be up for classes Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/223056-british-military-fitness/#findComment-1330341 Share on other sites
Annie5
I've also been looking at this. I am quite unfit so am looking for something which allows me to build on things gradually .... does anyone know if they have a beginners' level? Hilja
It's not Peckham Rye but BMF does 'Walkfit' sessions in Dulwich Park, which are low-impact and suitable for the unfit and people with minor health issues. The format and a lot of the exercises are similar to BMF proper, just at a gentler pace and without the running and if there's something you can't do because of, e.g., a dodgy knee, the instructor will find an alternative for you.Sessions are Tuesdays & Thursdays 9.30-10.30am, Saturdays 10.00-11.00am and the first one's free: www.walkfit.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/223056-british-military-fitness/#findComment-1330757 Share on other sites

holloway
Just had my free taster session, really enjoyed it! It was quite intense. There was about 15 of us, of all different fitness levels, everyone was great. This is recommended. Was it a beginners one? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/223056-british-military-fitness/#findComment-1331041 Share on other sites
holloway
Hi Annie5, not quite a beginner's in the sense that you're gently eased in to it. A taster session is just a freebie. I've now signed up for a month. Give it a go! I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do.
