Wings of Love predates their first Album, one of the best things Level 42 has ever done.

No but I would say Gary Glitter/The Glitter Band if the word 'decent' hadn't been used in the thread title (is there a LESS fashionable band anywhere?)... though 50 million American sports fans can't be wrong surely?

Sparks were always 'in' in a weird kind of way - who didn't have a copy of Kimono My House?

Camel probably belong in a sub-group with Wishbone Ash.

What about Nazareth? Never really fashionable except in 'Not quite Deep Purple but-' circles but some good songs.

Yeah I second The Rubettes ( & honest they were nearly my first choice)

I saw them in Liege in 1975

Did you know their 'blue hat' look was based on Gene Vincent

    • Why does the place have no food and smell like s#it recently?
    • I was so sick of being ghosted by tradespeople, but contacted Hussein on the advice of a neighbour.  I'm so glad I did. They did a great job, were communicative, started and finished exactly when they said they would and were really tidy and respectful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and great value painter.
    • I think for the English, turtles are salt-water (sea) beasts whereas terrapins are fresh water, but I know e.g. Americans use 'turtle' for all chelonians including tortoises.
    • They're turtle-y different.  ๐Ÿ˜‰ They hibernate, burying themselves under mud or at the bottom of the pond. There have been regular sightings in there (and in Dulwich Park) for years and terrapins can live for 15-20 years in the wild, 30+ years in captivity. They are however an invasive species - whether or not the RSPCA or a local wildlife charity would come out to try and trap / remove them is another matter.
