bald marauder
Our water has gone - Copleston Road - whole road seems to be affected. Anyone else experienced loss of supply? Any news on remedial action? BM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/ Share on other sites

bald marauder
Just got through to Thames Water - burst pipe in the area, could take up to 6 hours for supply to return, but could be much quicker. Fingers crossed!BM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/#findComment-64287 Share on other sites
lozzyloz
You'd better check the water supply at the EDT then! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/#findComment-64289 Share on other sites

Keef
Do you mean the end of 2003? I thought that was pushing a week, it was bloody horrible, had to use a really nasty shower at work! numbnuts
Aye, also live on Copleston Road and we had that last night, spoke to the neighbours, who also had no water, but hadn't actually done anything about it. We then rang up Thames Water, who said they'd started to get some reports in so they were going to investigate. Apparently, if just one person rings up reporting a problem, they ignore it, as they assume the problem is in your own house. The moral of this story, ring someone and start complaining if it happens again! bald marauder
I suggested to the Thames Water representative that they should put information about known problems on their website, so that everyone can see the latest status - and then only have to contact TW if the problem is unknown. They are apparently already planning to introduce this functionality soon. Also good to know how the alerts system works Numbnuts, thanks for the info. Are you a keen cyclist, or is there some other reason for your screen name?BM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/#findComment-64416 Share on other sites
Ondine
that's progress. Southwark suggested that to them back at the time of the big pipe burst mentioned above, and at that time they refused on the grounds that their website was purely for corporate PR. Good to see their thinking is moving. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/#findComment-64442 Share on other sites
LostThePlot
WOW! Three of us on Copleston Road! And more importanlty I now know why the shower had a wobbler when I used it this afternoon. Maybe someone should tell Thames Water about the leak on the path near Soames street. That's going to be a helluva slide by tomorrow morning!!!E Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2223-anyone-lost-their-water-supply/#findComment-64473 Share on other sites
