James Barber
I've been assured by council officials this afternoon that the gym aircon problem has been fixed and that theyll explain how this happened and how fixed on Monday. So apologies for being so cryptic but this as much as I know!Edited to correct spelling. FatSwimmer
This is a remarkably inflammatory thread and seems only to confirm that you cannot please all of the people all of the time.I use the centre for the things that I know I want. I also know that other people are using it and try to be polite to other user and though this courtesy is not always returned I don't blame the centre for that. Yes sometimes its busy, yes sometimes the pool is bracing but on other times it is too warm. The showers are frustrating but I don't think that it's intentional, and in fact you can often fix them yourself if you have a fiddle with the knobs.I would say it is child friendly without seeming "overrun" with children and the staff even reacted appropriately when I suggested they changed the music in the changing rooms that had swear words - at least while there were still kids around.Could it be better? Yes. Is writing on here and hoping that James Barber will read it and agree in an inflammotory way the best way to deal with it? Probably not.Don't get me wrong, I am not in the pay of Fusion - I have had my run in with them, but I have had them with them and not on here, I try to be polite to the staff and generally find them to be friendly in return but why not take a few moments to build a relationship with them? I aim to say hello and thank you when I can, especially when I am leaving late. But again people are people... and cannot be monitered 24/7.. can they? James Barber
I'm told technicians are on site today to fix the sensor in the chiller controller and that this should fix the extreme temperatures experienced. Twirly
I went swimming for the first time in a month this morning. The end shower in the ladies is still running cold (I reported it to reception last time I was there, so it's been out of order for at least a month, a door is missing from one of the other showers and the missing bench is still missing. How long does it take to do a "health and safety assessment" on the safety of benches for goodness sakes? And what can be unsafe in the first place? Yes, 2 out of 3 are back, but I still think that's not good enough. My guess since it's been so long now is that it'll never be replaced...Having said that, I did find a shower that had an adequate temperature and the pool was a decent temperature too. Because of the depth I got a real sense of diving in deep water. An amazing experience Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/22224-never-ending-shenanigans-at-dulwich-baths/page/4/#findComment-685253 Share on other sites
