Hi

Busy lady looking for a cleaner for house, around 4/5 hours per week. Best would be 8.30am start either on Monday or Wednesday or Friday.

Looking for someone who can do the job better than I can, who thinks of all the little extras and leaves house looking lovely.

House is tidy and not dirty but I am short on time and need someone to do those extra jobs. Can you help with

- Stripping beds, washing sheets and towels and making up beds with clean sheets and making beds look lovely?

- Dusting and hoovering in all the nooks and crannies.

- Cleaning the kitchen (work surfaces, mopping), cleaning bins;

- Cleaning two bathrooms including Viakal on limescale and leaving shower doors nicely polished

- Tidying up living rooms, hoovering sofas, putting cushions back in place, dusting, polishing wood, ensuring decorative items are back in place on shelves. Cleaning the floor with wood floor cleaner.

- Dust, hoover and tidy bedrooms;

I live in Dulwich Village and would love references and recommendations from people I can call. Hope there's someone out there who can help. I provide all cleaning products and will pay a fair wage.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks

    • Shame, she seemed a decent Transport Secretary, it's not as if Grant Shapps never did anything wrong.  It's also a shame that some seem to enjoy these sorts of revelations. She declared the offence so not sure why she needed to resign.  I thought that in the UK we had a culture of forgiveness.
    • It looks like indiscretions, crimes, incompetency etc  by MPs generates a lot of responses so it might be a good time to start a new thread every time a new scandal emerges. Heaven knows there are enough of them from all parties.
    • It's not Thames Water's responsibility to keep Peckham Rye free of water, no. But the recent works designed to to hold water in the park: “capturing about 6 Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of surface water and releasing it very slowly”, where undertaken to stop houses from flooding. The increased risk of houses flooding is the result of a drainage and sewage system which are in dire need of upgrading / modernising, and unable to cope. And this, Thames Water are responsible for. We are paying for their under investment (over many, many years) in the drainage and sewage system; In cash terms - funding the works to modify the park, holding more water in it to, and through the loss of amenity that follows from the park being waterlogged more frequently.
    • Aria helped us out this week. He replaced ballcocks in our loft tanks. These had caused a leak whilst we were away on holiday. He also installed a new radiator. Responsive to our requirements. Communication was really good, costs reasonable.  Nice guy. Very happy to recommend.
