Okay, we have a plan. 18 July our mystery, red flower group shall meet. I'm Heather...clearly as you can tell from my user name! I may just pick up a group of red flowers as a joke. How about we aim for a table in the atrium area (assuming fresh air is great and it might not be quite lovely enough for the back garden later at night?) I'll try to get there earlier and save a table. Errr..I'm short and have brown hair and a rather wide nose -- if I'm honest ;-) See you all soon. Hey, should be fun to make new local friends.
Hello Everyone. Just joined the forum and great to see some of you local people want to meet other local people! I want to start a similar thing for actors/actresses anyone creative and in the entertainment world...East dulwich seems to be heaving with creative people. If you want to find out about my idea email me and i will send you the word doc. I?m up for wednesday 18th at the Rye..how do we know its from the forum? i don?t want to go up to anyone randomly!!! Looking forward to meeting you all though and making new friends!

sounds like it will be a few people turning up - great.

i think heather suggested an area in the pub in one of her earlier posts, and a red flower to recognise her? :) does anyone want to reserve a table we can ask for at the bar? i am only coming back from my holidays the night before otherwise I'd make the call but maybe the red flower is enough of a giveaway.

city girl - it seems a reoccuring event as long as somebody gets round to finding a date and organising it. i am sure there will be one in august that you can join or even start.

it's my first one tonight after never beeing able to make any of the prior dates - should be there by 7.30pm, looking forward to it :)

    • As well as the above, has anyone else noticed the massive amounts of gum being spat out all over as well as marking pavements? This is not only disgusting as gum will be laced with human germs and saliva but also places a large cleaning cost on already stretched services. Why do humans insist on spitting out gum onto the pavements? Why can't they dispose of it in a bin or take it home?
    • I think it’s often a lack of attention. I’ve seen owners a few times around the area and in the park not pick up and it’s been because they’re not paying attention to their dog(s) - distracted by their children/friend/phone - and their dog is behind them off lead and has quickly squeezed one out unseen. Obviously I point it out to the owner. The other gripe is that even if mess is picked up, it often leaves marks and streaks on the pavement that you equally wish to avoid stepping in. Better than a big chunky stool but still very annoying and can get in your shoe.
