Hi Johnie. Good thinking - but I suspect that using the tracking site might still cause problems. I'm no expert on this, but I read that it makes complex requests of the parliamentary servers, thus putting a load on the petition site that it can't handle. Alex Andreou has said he'll give hourly updates on twitter - so I'm using that as my source of info now.

I can't remember when I have had more fun, probably watching the score on teletext of a relegation battle in the 00s. It's 0-0. It's still 0-0. Or that coverage of the blinking competition on that satirical cartoon series again in the 00s.

Anyway to be serious this is exciting and some light relief, it was 500 under a million a minute ago and is taking yonks to reboot. Damn, missed it, now 1,000,250, BTW.

You feeling better now then Foxy?

I'm glad - but probably best if you didn't jump straight back to infantile "remainer cry-baby" type insults. You never know when someone will take exception at an inconvenient time. For example, someone might start getting cross with you just as you are taken ill again.

The petition won't do anything on it's own, it has to be taken in conjunction with other things.

I still have a suspicion we may have to go through a no deal for at least a while before we know the effects (starting next Friday). Ireland has had ships bringing supplies into Dublin for months I hear - we're going to wing it.

Sorry I can only find a Facebook link if you are too young to remember this: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=578367166664170 Totally agree that it's a bad design flaw, and I bet the actual cost of the parts to VW is minimal so they could easily cough up some of the replacement costs. It's depressing that someone can go along a street popping these things off cars with very little worry about being prosecuted.
