Louisa, Dulwich Fox is still posting very frequently on the forum, on many different threads.

Yes I know he is Sue, but you never truly know what someone else is dealing with in their personal life, that?s all I?m saying.

Louisa.

Well said-if someone is ill and their quality of life is impaired as a result a forum like this can be a very valuable way of connecting with people even if it sometimes involves them p***ing people off!

Let me explain . I did contact Jules on his/her private email.

We had a good chat and any animosity with other users were put to one side.

I will be visiting Saucy when they reopen

My Health situation has Nothing to do with anything I post here on EDF.

My condition is untreatable with Medicine.

Treatment involves

Total pancreatectomy. Removal of Pancreas

a splenectomy. Removal of Spleen

open cholecystectomy. Removal of Gall bladder

Patial removal of my Stomach

Patial removal of my Duodenum.

Lifetime dependancy of Insulin, Digestive Enzymes and antibiotics.

My consultant does not think I would survive such an operation.

I should find out next week the teams decision as to a way forward.

So perhaps that explains why I may come across at times as a miserablt git.

I'm sure DulwichFox is able to speak for himself!

Yes he is. But it does feel like people are ganging up on him for no reason Sue.

Louisa.

I don?t think people are ganging up on him for no reason. I am sorry he is ill but he did voice some incorrect assumptions that could have been very damaging to a business. I think some people just want him to say a simple ?sorry?. That?s all.

When Saucy first opened several people on here criticised them for the music being too loud and could be heard across the road.

This was explained as being down to new staff by the team and it would be sorted.

No one had a go at those people for their comments.

Soon after Saucy closed and it was the owners themselves that said they had a problem with their electrics.

It wasn't me. I just queried why this wasn't addressed / doubled checked before they opened.

It was not a criticism. It was just a few folk on here that made it look that way. Usual suspects.

The whole thing was blown up out of all proportions.

That is the True facts of the matter. No need for any apology. I did nothing wrong.

Fine.

Pointless supposition. Not fine.

Fine.

Ignorant, inaccurate and potentially damaging. Not fine.

Hope that helps.

Obviously a very bored person.....

I agree with an earlier comment that this thread serves no purpose any more.

Hopefully 'Saucy" will announce in the 'buisiness'section when they are actually reopening and then everyone can judge the place for themselves and post accordingly under a new heading.

This thread no longer serves its purpose and has become a personal attack upon someone with a lot of horrendous health problems who stated that he had actually been in direct contact with the owners.

it really is time to move on and look forward to the restaurant's hopefully imminent opening.

Absolute nonsense - one does not excuse the other at all and the blatant refusal at anything which resembles an apology is just childish and immature!

I think you and Alice should skip back to Wonderland... :0))

Admin - this thread has become a vehicle solely for personal abuse and ad hominem attacks. Could it be closed? Or moved or locked? Maybe when Saucy is really going to re-open as a going concern it could announce so on a new thread, in the Business section? I wish it well (as apparently does everyone who has posted on this thread, even those more sanguine about culpability regarding its very extended 'almost opening').

    • The problem is Starmer can't shut up about his dad being a tool maker, they made Keir,  a right prize tool. Reeves continually blames the previous Govt, but correct me if I'm wrong but inflation was decreasing, unemployment was stagnant, with decreases and the occasional increase, things were beginning to stabalise overall.    Then we had the election 4 July when Starmer and co swept to power, three months on things are worse than they were before, yet Reeves continues to blame the former Govt. The national debt doubled overnight with public sectors all getting a wage increase and now the budget that penalises business with the increase in Employers national insurance. The result of which will be increased prices in the shops, increased inflation, increased numbers of redundancies, increased unemployment and increased pressures on the DWP to fund this    Future growth will go backwards and become negative, farmers will no longer farm in protest against the Govt, more people will become poorer and unable to pay their bills, things will spiral out of control and we'll have a repeat of the General Strike until this bunch of inept politicians resign and Kemi and co prevent the ship from hitting the iceberg and sinking.
