Aupair looking for a host family April start

Recommended Posts

Hi

I had plans to have an aupair start with us in April but my circumstances have changed and I no longer need one now, however Lucrezia?s (Lucy for short) flight is booked so feels like a shame to let that go to waste as she is still keen to come to London for the right family. Here is a copy of her profile from aupair world.com

My name is Lucrezia

I'm 22 years old and I'm currently attending The University Of Padua, I should finish my studying and graduate by the end of March. I live in a small town, where everything is close, I can be in one hour driving in the mountains, or in the ocean. I live near one of the most beautiful city of the world: VENEZIA.

I'm a really nice and always smily girl. I'm studying so I have some free times that I use for helping my mother at home, cleaning and tidy up, cooking. I actually love this kind of life. Cooking is one of my passion, I've always cooked with my mother and my grandmothers since I was able to. I also love stay healthy and be active, I prefer go for a walk rather than stay at home watching Netflix. I'm not saying that I don't do it, I love watching movies and series, but not during the day while the sun is still up. I played some sports, I used to go to swim twice a week and play volley ball (but I'm not really good at it). Now I go to the gym or run. I also know how to sky.

I love the mountains but I actually prefer the ocean and the hot weather.

We're a family of 5: I'm the second of three. I have one big brother, who lives and works in Australia as an engineer, he left home 5 years ago and we miss him so much, but we see at least once in a year. He lives in Newcastle, NSW. My sister is almost 18, she's like my baby, I always take care of her and help her with the homework and studying. My parents work and they need some help for the house, so we always work together because with cooperation you do less and you can establish an even closer relation. They taught me to be always respectful and polite withe anyone, because a smile and some kindness can make a person feeling good. My father and my mother are the best parents I could ask for, they love us and I think that love is the right ingredients to have a good family and relations. Think they've done an amazing work with us. I love be part of this family, even if we're not all together we are a force of nature.

We share our house with 1 dog, Joker and 2 cats. Joker is probably one of my best friend, it sounds weird but it's not, he always listens to me and doesn't interrupt me. I always take him for long walks and he loves running, he's an amazing dog, I love him.

I studied psychology during my high school, but then I decided to change my studying, so I started Uni where I'm studying political science (hope it will be over by march). I will start a new Uni in September, I would love to study International Management in Milan.

I've lived one year in the USA, in Arizona when I was 17 years old. It was one of the best decision and experience of my life. I miss living abroad. While I was there I had the opportunity to take care of the children of my host family, they are three amazing children that I miss so much. I love staying with children because they make me realize that life is not always so hard as it looks like, but you just have to see in a different way. I love playing and be active, but I can also be really reflective.

I'm sure you and your children will love my cooking and dishes, everyone knows Italians are the best cooker in the world and I will prove it to you. I also love travel and discover new places, go for a walk and have short but good trips on the weekend.

I'm always kind to others, even if sometimes people take advantage of me. I'm a really clean person and if something isn't tidy as I want I really work on it (my wardrobe is ordered by color and everything perfectly folded). I keep an open mind and I work hard if I have a target. I am easygoing and outgoing, and always ready to learn new things.

I would love to be an au pair and experience something new. I also need a break after my studying and I think this is the best way to do it because I will do something that I love, taking care of children, but also improve my English and learn about a different culture. I think challenging yourself is the best way to grow and discover other sides of you and be apart from my family and home it will be a challenge, that I want to overcome. I would love to have the chance to work with children, teach about my culture and language. Another main reason I'm choosing to start this journey is the fact that I love meeting new people and discovering new places and cultures! I think it would be amazing to feel part of a family even if I'm far away from mine

I'm really responsible and ready to leave.

I would like to arrive in April and leave by July or August

Please feel free to contact me or Lucy directly on [email protected]. She also has sent me some pics but I can?t upload them here. Lucy by far stood out of the 6-8 au pairs I interviewed and she was very thoughtful throughout the process. Such a shame we can?t host her but I?m sure she will find something soon
