I recently saw an assistant in clothes shop whizzing thru the "ironing" at a rate of knots with a garment steamer. I'm very tempted to buy one but am wondering if the ones sold for domestic use are any good. Does anyone have one?

I'm thinking of something like this http://www.scottsofstow.co.uk/Garment-Steamer/Product1_22051_-1_17958_10551

I used to iron EVERYTHING - I mean even vests and pants etc - I blame my Mum who was the same!

These days I have a new rule - as soon as it is dry I sort it into piles and put away as much as I can get away with not ironing, it has made such a difference and quite honestly for things like kids T shirts and leggings they look just fine without.

Still iron my work stuff etc. of course, but it has revolutionised my life, if only I could wear my exercise gear 24/7 I'd never have to iron again LOL.

Pricey but Brooks Brothers and others have non iron shirts and ever since the Mr got a few the iron has been in a closet, they are wonderful and on sale I think they are worth the expense. I just wash them with other clothes, shake them out once they are out of the wash and dry them on a hanger. Wa-la.
