free family cycle training Saturday March 9th 12.30-4.30

Recommended Posts

Take the kids or go by yourself. This is a free drop-in four-hour session. It's being run by Cycle Confident and funded by Southwark Council. You don?t have to book or stay for it all. The flyer contains all known details because I can't find any more on the web. If you have still got questions then telephone 0203 031 6730 and ask.

I can't attach the flyer because it's too big but it's attached here: https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/events/free-family-cycling-taster-session/

However I have established that although the flyer says ?Please bring your bikes and helmets? that?s not precisely right. No one needs a helmet as long as their parents agree that a child need not wear one and presumably the parents can decide for themselves. The bit about bikes is right.

The meeting point is at the Dulwich Clock Cafe in Dulwich Park (SE21 7BQ). No need to book. Cycle Confident reckon the session is for everyone from complete beginners to old hands who want to ?build their skills? aka learn a bit more. So everyone can learn.

If this date and time aren't convenient for you, Cycle Confident do free Family Group cycle training as part of their contract with Southwark and they can tailor what they teach to what your family needs. Full info here: https://www.cycleconfident.com/courses/family/
