This ride starts in Dulwich Park outside the Dulwich Clock Cafe (SE21 7BQ) and it's an easy ride avoiding any big hills. The outward leg goes via Herne Hill Velodrome and Brixton Windmill. There will be a brief coffee and loo break at the cafe near the bandstand on Clapham Common. The return leg will be via Brockwell Park and Bel Air Park.

This ride is organised by Bruce Lynn and friends on behalf of Southwark Cyclists and we are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign. Like everything else we do it is free and open to everyone. All our rides are posted on lcc.org.uk/events -- if it is isn't there it isn't run by us and won't be covered by our insurance. Here is this one: https://lcc.org.uk/events/dulwich-to-clapham-common-southwark-healthy-ride-2?esid=14591

Plus a reminder that there will be a free family cycling event on March 9th. This is run by Cycle Confident and paid for by Southwark Council. It's a 4 hour family cycling taster session in Dulwich Park on Saturday March 9th from 12.30 to 4pm. You don't need to stay for it all. You do need to bring your own bike. If you have friends who do not feel ready for a Healthy Ride, going to an event like this might help to build their confidence. • I think it was more amazement that anyone uses cheques on a large enough scale anymore for it to be an issue.    Are cheque books even issued to customers by banks anymore? That said government institutions seem to be one of the last bastions of this - the last cheque I think I received was a tax rebate in 2016 from HMRC.  It was very irritating.
    • I know you have had a couple of rather condescending replies, advising you to get to grips with technology and live in the modern world. I sympathise with you. I think some of us should try to be a bit more empathetic and acknowledge not everyone is a technophile. Try to see things from a perspective that is not just our own. Also, why give the banking sector carte blanche to remove any sort of human/public facing role. Is this really what we want?
    • Great to have round, troublesome boiler has had no issues since he started servicing it
    • Hi all, thank you so much to the lovely people of this forum who have donated. I still have a very long way to go and appreciate anything anyone is able to contribute ❤️   I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for local businesses/establishments that may be able to help? I was thinking maybe Dulwich College?  the link again is here https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/tmjhelp ❤️
