usagi
Poxclin helped my two a great deal. Calamine lotion also helped but not calamine cream which didn?t help at all! Try piriton also. Sending sympathy- both minchildren had it last summer and it was horrendous. Digbina
If they?ll suffer them, soft cotton mitts to minimise harm from scratching. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/218668-chicken-pox/#findComment-1318140 Share on other sites
klh
Oats in a pop sock/pair of tights in the bath really help to soothe the itching. Make sure you clean the bath out well afterwards though as the oaty liquid can be slippy! Feij?o
Teach the little ones to pat the spots, it will prevent them from getting scars. Oak in a sock in the bath helped my little one a lot. Saffron
After the blisters stop weeping and start to heal, keep them well moisturised. The old advice to let them dry out is wrong. It encourages itching/scratching and scarring.Moisturisers aimed at eczema sufferers are good, long lasting. xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/218668-chicken-pox/#findComment-1319167 Share on other sites
edanna
My GP told me that you should use full sun block or as full as possible on kids for a year after chicken pox to avoid scarring. I know that?s no help now but something to think about in the next few months. Hope things improve v soon.
