Thought I'd let you know that a few years ago I spent New Years day at Bhaktivedanta Manor Temple, (George Harrison's Hare Krishna Temple in Watford which is open every day to the public), was really chilled, they welcome you with open arms and feed you to boot, (although they do provide free food every Sunday), it was a serene experience, very chilled, people laid back and everything, got to join in a prayer session, got to walk round the mansion and the cow sheds, people from all walks of life were there and live there freely although they have to work the land and earn their keep in that way, a most tranquil and enlightenening experience, any suggestions to anything else unusual to do New Year? (apart from get plastered and go up to trafalgar square!)

    • Just heard 250 houses. Substation fault in Lacon Road. Hopefully may be fixed tonight 😭
    • Sorry to hear this - I hope they get the power back on soon for those affected on a night like tonight.
    • Some houses in Ulverscroft Road and I gather Whateley and Fellbrigg have a power cut. Any other roads?
    • Agree and that is due to the echo-chamber nature of social media algorithms. Previously racists and other idiots wouldn't read stuff in traditional media that echoed their warped mindset but now they feel empowered because they think everyone thinks this and can easily reach those that do share the same ideology. Cast your mind back to how Blackberry Messenger was blamed for its role in the London riots back in 2011. We now have that a thousand times worse.
