goldilocks
If its the shop that was 'jolie a pied' its going to be a sweet shop - can't remember the name but its a franchise in a chain of retro sweet shops Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/218015-opposite-the-palmerston/#findComment-1316230 Share on other sites

redjam
If you mean the old Londis it's going to be a Superdrug, apparently. And yes, that sweet shop moving into Jolie a Pied didn't appear to happen - no sign of it closing down last time I looked. collemm
Thanks all - I was talking about the corner of lordship & northcross so I assume that?s going to be a Superdrug. Reg Smeeton
Superdrug? - ouch, that's going to hurt Lloyds pharmacy on North Cross and Co-op a few doors up on Lordship, two shops that I am quite fond of. nxjen
Depends on whether the new store has a pharmacy, the one in Peckham doesn?t. The shop that used to be the Co-op Chemist is now called Sogem (?) - there?s something very unappealing about it and a lot more could be done with the space. Loutwo
According to the planning application, the new Superdrug store will also contain a ?The Perfume Shop? counter, which is absolutely brilliant news. Lots of quality fragrances, at knock down prices. Louisa. Lots of quality fragrances, at knock down prices. If true, I hope this does not affect Rouiller White's perfume parlour. An independent will never compete with a chain on prices. That said, the hope is there is room for both. EDmummy
First Mate, me too! On the plus side, if you already shop in Roullier White for perfume you?re unlikely to go back to identikit high street brands. Perfume from Roullier White is an immersive experience :-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/218015-opposite-the-palmerston/#findComment-1328679 Share on other sites
monica
lol Superdrug and quality perfume should not be in the same sentence. Edmummy I agree Roullier white's perfumes are divine and last for years. I still have a the creed vetiver from 8 years ago, which is still gorgeous and fragrant. Loutwo
Superdrug sell a range of various top branded perfumes as well as more affordable ones. Including Creed btw. Not sure why you conclude those same brands are somehow not quality just because they happen to be sold by a high street chain? Hope we aren?t back to the old arguments of being seen to buy stuff from a small independent just so people can see you going in there, regardless of the price? Louisa. carlafindle
Hardly think people go in to Roullier White just to be seen going in there? What a ignorant statement ffs. herne hilly
Im not big perfume fan and never been to Roullier White, but have seen their website and it does seem pricy.I don't know why you are all coming down on Louisa, not everyone can afford such lavish perfumes. Sometimes you may be looking for a ?20 fragrance to give as a gift and Superdrug would be just the place to go for this sort of thing. Is it the fact that Superdrug is just not gentrified enough for ED that is bothering you all so much ?
