If you have an event and you need a set of (loud) high quality speakers, a compact mixing desk, a microphone (i.e. for speeches) and disco lights, I have exactly that. I have run 100s of events with this kit, which is reliable and is sufficient to fill any large / medium hall. Great for weddings, house parties and any other event.

2 x 1500A speakers

2 x speaker stands

1 x mixing panel with all inputs and outputs for iphones, laptops and CDJs

4 x (retro) disco lights and stands

1 x microphone

cables

If you are tech savvy, you can set it up yourself (with my handy manual) and hire all this for ?125 / day. This would mean pick up and drop off yourself.

If you need help setting it up (and taking it away) in and around SE London, we can arrange this at an additional charge. It depends on where it needs to go, the travel time etc.

Give me a call on 07794757166 to chat through your event and let's see how we can help.

    • I completely agree.  Mickey did some work for a couple I know and from this, I asked him to do some plastering for me.  He works to a really high standard, is reliable, fair priced and very clean and considerate.  He does the work himself, so you do not get random people coming to your home.  If you are looking for a trades person MJ Lawless Plastering Services is your person.  His number is 07930 678 989
    • Current status of Planning Application 24/AP/2314 is the approval document was published 31 December 2025 with effect 1 January 2026.  https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/files/E5F5EC6005598720843BC00D7E6A7D11/pdf/24_AP_2314-DECISION_NOTICE_-_MAJOR_-_GRANT-4194604.pdf It has 41 conditions many of which must be confirmed via further applications into Southwark Council before works on site can begin. I've not seen any applications to start discharging those conditions yet - amazed some of these have not been prepared by the developer. No work of any kind is allowed on site until some of those conditions are discharged. Additionally the sites proximity to the rail tracks means Network Rail will have to be heavily involved. My work experiences with Network Rail would suggest quite some delay will come rom them alone.  With the national government and Southwark Council planning to reduce the proportion of social housing from 35% to 20%, and some schemes in Southwark are now only provided 2% social housing. It would be amazing if the developer doesn't seek an amended viability appraisal to reduce social housing for the scheme or even taller buildings.
    • I did the same on a bus.  The whole bus cheered!  The religious nut shut up.  It is not acceptable for people to try and force their beliefs on you
