My daughter has her MMR booster booked for tomorrow but she's got the tale end of a cold. I know they say its ok to give them the booster if they have a cold as long as they don't have a temp, but I always thought it seemed a bit mean, if they are feeling a bit grotty!

I just wondered what your thoughts were?

Thanks!

Yes, it's fine physically as far as the MMR goes, although I wouldn't take her if you think her cold could still be contageous. Otherwise it's just down to your judgement, whether you think the office visit will be particularly upsetting for your little one while she is feeling a bit grotty still. I would do whatever would create the least stress. xx

    • Our cat Booboo has been missing since early Sunday morning (09 March).   He's a three-year-old male cat with black fur (short).    He's recognisable from having very big feet - I think about two extra toes on each paw.   He's very nervous of strangers and doesn't go out the front of our house - he mainly hangs out in the back gardens on our block (Goodrich/Barry/Friern Road).   If you spot him please let us know (07771915355).

    • That's useful, thank you - I've got a Primark near my work. Primark is (perhaps surprisingly) also one of the most diligent when it comes to labour rights in the supply chain, and I have to say the bits I've had from there have been quite good quality and lasted a long time. But otoh it's still fast fashion I suppose.
