We found a poetry book from the 1800's in our loft with some handwritten inscriptions and from this, we've managed to trace some history of a family that moved into our house in 1911. The book isn't worth much but is in lovely condition and might be of sentimental value to any remaining family members.

We have traced as far as a Harold Jahrns and Arthur Jahrns who died 1970 and 1984 respectively, both of whom moved into our house in 1911, along with 5 other family members (in a 2 bedroom house!)

We haven't got time to do anymore digging but as Jahrns is quite an unusual surname, I thought it worth asking here if anyone knows of anyone of that name in the area.
