Does it mean so many people in SE22 replace their doors and windows?8

Much of the housing stock locally is around 100 years old - looking at windows quite a lot still have original sashes etc. - and of those that don't many will have replacement double glazing 20 or more years old which will have started to blow (mist) by now. Many houses in the 70s' and 80s (before ED 'came up in the world') will have underspent on maintenance, meaning that the need is greater. People are spending money on uplifts on every street - partly because they aren't moving, or want to make their houses more saleable if they have to move. So I suspect that good Door and Windows shops will do well.

I have my doubts about these two businesses so close together too. I never see posts on the EDF "Help, I just can't find anyone to supply and fit my new windows and doors" so am not sure there is a shortage of supply in the area. Most of the Victorian housing stock in SE22 has been renovated fairly recently by now?

    • Yes, been on several over the last 12 years. They are one of the safest planes ever built. The Dreamliner has been in service since 2011 and currently about 1,150 are in operation every day. Safe as houses.
    • One of them climbed a tree and was breaking branches off and lobbing them at people as they walked underneath (myself included). When I stopped, looking shaken, they laughed at me.  Then they moved to near the cafe, climbed onto the roof and lobbed a beer bottle, a shoe, and various other things off the roof. One nearly hit a woman sitting there.  Needless to say they ran off just as I was calling the police.
    • My thoughts exactly when I found them I was thinking hope she is OK, have a feeling her bag was maybe snatched and then these items were just thrown.. I'm sure the police will pass it on to the passport office I just didn't have the time to get over there anytime soon. And agree they wasn't very helpful at all unfortunately I felt I was causing a problem with just handing them in !!
    • I recently had plumbing issues which required urgent attention . I looked up this forum and found a recommendation for Andy Burke , He heard my pleas , turned up quickly and sorted  the problem .  He was also good to deal with,  hence the recommendation .  Contact details -  Andy Burke Plumber ,  07983688451
